Alfie Barratt
Part-Time Warehouse Supervisor
Alfie joined the company in July 2017 and worked alongside warehouse staff developing his skills and knowledge in warehousing. Within six months the company offered Alfie an NVQ apprenticeship to help him progress in his role. Alfie accepted the apprenticeship which he completed along with forklift training, allowing him a better understanding of the company and to progress within his warehousing role.
The company was sad to see Alfie leave the company in January 2019 to pursue his own goals and gain experience in a non-warehousing role. However, in January 2020; Alfie returned to the company as a part-time Warehouse Operative. Since his return, he has thrown himself into the challenges of a busy warehouse and we have decided to make Alfie a part-time warehouse supervisor.

“Lara”
Mascot
Hi, my names Lara and I am craaaaazy! I travelled all the way to England from Egypt with my friends Batel and Sandy so that I could learn to walk again. I want to run around, and I am going to get an operation to help me but for now, I have something called wheels coming. I am not sure what they are, but they sound good if they will help me to run!
When I first felt the ground in England it was so different from Egypt. It was softer and these weird little green bits were sticking up everywhere. I later learned that this was a thing called grass and I love grass. I roll and roll and roll in it, I like to pick it ad throw it around as well, it is great, you can do so many different things with it!
When I get tired, I love to cuddle, I like to be near people even though people were mean to me before I came here, there are some really nice people, so I still like them. My lesson to people is to have fun! Even if you cannot do things in the same way as others, make your own way and enjoy every day as much as you can.
